THE NORTH FACE W-NAME MODS COAT

eYe JUNYA WATANABE MAN とノースフェイスとの新作コラボレーションは、ミリタリーのM-65（モッズコート）をモディファイしたデザイン。ジュンヤマンによるパターンで作られたモッズコートは少しゆったりと大き目なサイズ感にフィッシュテールと呼ばれる後ろの裾が長いデザインとなったオリジナルのモッズコートのシルエットに忠実なデザインが特徴。通常オリーブカラーのコットンナイロン素材を使用して作られるコートをノースフェイスによるハイテク素材「WINDSTOPPER」にて現代的な機能性にアップデート。ジッパ―やボタンなどの細かなパーツにもノースフェイス製のオリジナルパーツを採用し、胸元にはボディと同じくブラックカラーでノースフェイスのロゴをプラス。50年以上前に生まれたミリタリーウエアのデザインに現代アウトドアによるハイスぺックな素材がMIXされたハイブリットなデザインは、まさにコラボレーションならではのスペシャルな一枚です。


The new collaboration between eYe JUNYA WATANABE MAN and The North Face is a modified version of the military M-65 (mods coat). The mod coat made using Junyaman"s pattern is faithful to the silhouette of the original mod coat, with a slightly looser fit and a longer hem at the back called a fishtail. The coat, which is usually made using olive-colored cotton nylon material, has been updated with modern functionality using the high-tech material "WINDSTOPPER" by The North Face. Original parts made by The North Face are used for small parts such as zippers and buttons, and the North Face logo is added to the chest in the same black color as the body. The hybrid design, which combines military wear designs created over 50 years ago with high-spec materials from modern outdoor activities, is a special piece that can only be achieved through collaboration.
